Soccer News – Arsenal – Milan

Arsenal hosts Milan in a second leg game from the 1/8-finals of the Europa League. The match is going to be played at the Emirates Stadium in London.

Arsenal are in a good position to eliminate Milan after a flawless 2-0 win in the first game in Milan. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey scored the two goals for the Gunners, while Milan were unable to get the ball past David Ospina’s back. It was a dissapointing performance for the Italian side, especially when they are in such a good form in the Serie A at the moment.

Meawnhile Arsenal showed everyone that this season is not over for them. The Gunners are not performing very well in the Premier League, but in Europa League they are moving closer to the final. Now they have to make just one more step and they will qualify for the 1/4-finals.

Europa League is an important competition for both clubs this season. Not just because of the trophy, but also because of the Champions League qualification. Neither Milan or Arsenal could reach the Champions League through their domestic leagues this season. This means that their only hope of doing so is winning Europa League, just like Manchester United did last season.

It won’t be easy for Milan to erase Arsenal’s comfortable lead, but Gennaro Gattuso’s team have some good attacking talent to do so. Of course, Arsenal won’t just sit back and expect Milan to attack. Arsene Wenger’s team already plays an offensive football and it won’t be otherwise on Thursday night.

This is the biggest derby of the 1/8-finals of the Europa League. Arsenal and Milan are big European clubs, but one of them will leave the competition, saying “goodbye” to its Champions League hopes. But who?
