Dandehong continues to lead the standings in the South Division of the Australian basketball championship SEABL.

Dandehong won 14 of their 21 matches since the start of the season, losing the other 7. Hobart (13 wins, 7 losses), Ballarat (13 wins, 8 losses) and NW Tasmania (11 wins, 10 losses) are the other three teams, who are curently placed in the playoff zone of the SEABL.

So far Bendigo, Frankston and Melbourne United are out of the playoff zone of the South Division of the SEABL.

In the East Division Mt Gambier is leading the standings with 18 wins and just 2 losses since the beginning of the new campaign. Nunawading are second with 15 wins and 6 losses, while the other two playofff spots are taken by Geelong (14 wins, 8 losses) and Sandringham (10 wins, 12 losses). Ouf of the playoff zone so far are Kilsyth, Albury, BA CoE and Canberra.

During the week we had some interesting results in the SEABL.

This morning Melbourne United beat BA CoE with 83-65, but they remain on the last place in the South Division. They really need to keep this performance up, if they want to have chance for something better in the league.

On Saturday Bendigo beat Ballarat with 94-80, while Kilsyth didn’t face any problems against Melbourne United – 84-67.

Dandenong beat Frankston with 90-85, while Nunawading beat Albury with exactly ten points difference – 96-86. NW Tasmania beat Canberra with 93-84, while Sandringham beat BA CoE with 95-72.

On Friday we witnessed three more games. Mt Gambier dominated over Albury and won the match between them with 103-82. Meanwhile in a very competitive match Geelong beat Sandringham with 86-84. In the same time Hobart beat Canberra with 100-69, leaving them on the last place in the East Division.
