Bodø / Glimt – Jerv
Bodø / Glimt hosts Jerv in a match from the Norway’s 1. Division on Sunday afternoon.
These two teams are in a totally different position in the league standings. Bodø / Glimt are currently leading the table with 25 points won from 11 games played. They have one point advantage in front of the next team in the standings Ranheim. Winning against Jerv will allow Bodø / Glimt to keep its first place in the 1. Division for at least one more week.
How we said, these two teams are placed in a very different way in the table. While Bodø / Glimt are current leaders, Jerv are placed in the other half of the standings. They are currently 14th, which is the relegation play-off spot in the 1. Division. Jerv have won just one of their 11 games so far, losing four and making six draws.
If Jerv lose its visit to Bodø / Glimt, there’s a real danger for them to move into the relegation zone of the league.
It’s interesting to point out that Jerv recorded 10 consecutive games without a win in the 1. Divisio, before finally beating Elverum in the last round. They have scored 13 goals so far, conceding 17 in the process.
As for Bodø / Glimt, they suffered their second defeat in the league in the last round of the 1. Division. Bodø / Glimt travelled to meet Ranheim and lost with 1-2. This moved Ranheim to just one point behind the leader. Before that Bodø / Glimt were in a run of three consecutive wins.
It’s also curious to note that this is going to be the first match in history between Bodø / Glimt and Jerv. These two teams have never faced each other so far. Bodø / Glimt are the clear favourite to take the win, which will not surprise anybody at all.
