Soccer News – Atalanta-Juventus
Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta is struggling in the Champions League, but in the Serie A La Dea are once again doing good. Right now Atalanta are 5th in the standings with 22 points, just two points behind the 4th Cagliari. In 12 games played, Atalanta have the record of 6 wins, 4 draws and just 2 defeats. After finishing in the Top 4 last season, La Dea will try to do it again. And they have the quality needed to succeed.
On the negative side, Atalanta are without a win in their last three Serie A games. In the last round Gasperini’s team visited Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris, but the game ended without any goals scored – 0-0.
Being the only unbeaten team in the Serie A at the moment, Juventus are leading the league standings with 32 points. They have to be careful, though, because Inter Milan are just one point behind them.
Since their dissapointing draw against Lecce, the Bianconeri are enjoying a run of three consecutive wins in the Serie A. Last week Juve hosted Milan in one of the greatest Calcio derbies, achieving a 1-0 win. It was the Argentine international Paulo Dybala who scored the winning goal in the 77th minute. Dybala executed an assist from Gonzalo Higuain.
This game is going to be remembered with Maurizio Sarri’s decision to replace Cristiano Ronaldo after just 55 minutes of playing. The Portuguese superstar was not really happy with this decision, but everything looks calm now.
In conclusion we can say that this is going to be one of Juventus’ most difficult games so far in the Serie A. Atalanta are a very solid team, losing just twice during this campaign. We expect a good battle between these two teams.
