Soccer News – England-Belgium

England hosts Belgium at the Wembley in an incredibly interesting game from the Nations League. This is a fixture from League A’s Group 2. Right now Belgium are leaders with two points advantage ahead of England, but many things could change.

England prepared for this match with a friendly game against Wales at the Wembley. The Three Lions dominated and achieved a spectacular 3-0 win against the Dragons. Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in his official debut while Coady and Ings also scored for Gareth Southgate’s team.

Most likely Southage will make some changes against Belgium. Players like Pickford, Maguire, Alexander-Arnold and Rashford remained on the bench and didn’t feature, but this is because the manager plans to use them on Sunday.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin should start for England as well. The Everton striker is in a great shape at the moment, so Southgate can’t refuse to use his services.

Belgium also had a friendly game on Thursday. The Red Devils didn’t have the same success as England because their match against Ivory Coast ended with a 1-1 draw. Both goals in the game were scored in the second half. Michy Batshuayi opened the score for Belgium, but Frank Kessie equalsed for the Elephants just three minutes before the final whistle.

Belgium are leaders in their Nations League group with two wins from two matches played. If they win at the Wembley the Red Devils will make a huge step towards winning this group.

That’s our preview of the Nations League clash between England and Belgium on Sunday. These two teams are the big favourites to win Group 2, so this is a good enough reason to watch this game. England performed better in their final friendly before the fixture, but Belgium remain one of the best teams on the continent as well.
