Soccer News – England-Montenegro

England hosts Montenegro at the Wembley in another game from Group A of the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Can the visitors cause an upset in the English capital? It doesn’t look likely, but let’s say few words for this match.

England are the leaders in this group with 15 points won so far, achieved from five games won. The Three Lions’ only mistake so far was the visit to Prague, when they suffered a 1-2 loss against the Czech Republic. In every other game they celebrated a win.

In their last game England visited Bulgaria in Sofia and enjoyed a terrific 6-0 win. Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling scored braces for the visitors, while Marcus Rashford and the captain Harry Kane also scored in Plamen Iliev’s net.

The game is going to be remembered with the racist chants from the Bulgarian fans, which almost made the manager Gareth Southgate take his team off the pitch.

In their first game against Montenegro in the group, England enjoyed a dominating 5-1 win in Podgorica. Ross Barkley once again scored two goals, while Michael Kane, Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling also helped the visitors to claim the win.

For Montenegro this is a campaign to forget so far. They are currenty 4th in the group with 3 points, being only ahead of Bulgaria. In seven matches played so far, the Balkan team is without a win – three draws and four losses.

In their last match Montenegro visited Kosovo in Pristina and conceded a 0-2 defeat. We can say that this result was not really that surprising, because Kosovo are doing pretty well during this qualifying campaign.

That’s what we had to say about the Euro 2020 qualifier between England and Montenegro on Thursday. The English side would like to offer a good show to the fans at the Wembley and we think they will do it.
