Soccer News – Getafe-Sevilla
Getafe faces Sevilla at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in a game from the 13th round of La Liga. Allow us to take a look at this and see what’s going on with these two teams.
Getafe are underperforming this season compared to the previous two. Jose Bordalas’ team is struggling and it’s currently 15th in the standings with 13 points won. At the same time they are just 3 points behind the 6th Sevilla, so the difference between them and the Top 6 is not that big.
Three draws and two losses – this is Getafe’s average record in the last five rounds. Last week Bordalas’ boys faced Levante in Valencia, but suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat. They also finished the game with 9 men on the pitch as Dakonam and Chema Rodriguez got sent off. Both of them won’t be avaliable for the match on Sunday which is a problem for Getafe’s defense.
Just as we already mentioned it Sevilla are 6th in La Liga’s standings with 16 points won. Los Rojiblancos had a run of three consecutive wins in the league, but last week they ended this run with a 0-1 loss at home against Real Madrid. Sevilla didn’t play their best football and they lost after an own goal from Yassine Bounou in the beginning of the second half.
During the week Sevilla had a game in the Champions League as well. The Andalusians faced Rennes in France and went home with a 3-1 win. Youssef En-Nesyri scored a brace against the French side while the centre-back Jules Kounde scored one as well.
That’s our preview for the La Liga fixture between Getafe and Sevilla in La Liga. Getafe really need to add some points to their tally right now, so we expect to see them motivated against the Andalusians. It’s going to be an interesting game.
