Soccer News – Manchester City-Feyenoord

Manchester City hosts Feyenoord in a match from Group F of the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester City are the convincing leader in this group. Pep Guardiola’s Citizens have won all of their four games so far, doing it with a spectacular goal difference as well – 12 goals scored and just 3 goals conceded. Manchester City are winning this group and this is far from a doubt.

The English team looks strong enough to say that they are not just favourites in this group, but they are favourites for the trophy. Or to be more precise – one of the favourites for the trophy, because there are other teams who are very strong, too. Josep Guardiola is doing a fantastic job at City and his second season looks far more successful so far than his first. Manchester City have never won the Champions League so far and this season they will try to do it for a first time.

Feyenoord on the other hand are not enjoying their return to the Champions League very much. So far the Dutch team have not won even a single point in its four matches. Feyenoord’s goal difference is also far from impressive – 3 goals scored and 12 goals conceded. The Dutch champions still have some chances to fight for the third place at least, but it’d be very surprising if they manage to do something significant until the end of the group stage.

The first game between City and Feyenoord in Rotterdam didn’t end very well for the Dutch team – 0-4 for Manchester City. Are we going to see something like this happening again at the Etihad Stadium?

It’d be interesting to see how Pep Guardiola is going to pick up his starting eleven. Will he rest some of his key players? Or he will pick his best team again? We shall wait and see.
