Midtjylland faces Randers in a match from the third round of the Danish Superliga. The game is going to be played on Sunday afternoon in the city of Midtjylland.

Midtjylland started the new season in the worst way possible, losing with 0-4 the visit to Brondby. This team started the new campaign with ambitions to win the title, but this result really brought some questions if these ambitions are really valid.

They managed to answer the critics in the best way possible – with a win. In the second round Midtjylland won first points for the season, beating Silkeborg with 2-0 at home. Now they are 11th in the standings with 3 points won, but beating Randers will really, really improve their position in the table.

As for Randers, they have won just one point in the league so far. In the first round Randers won a point during the visit to SønderjyskE, but in the second round they lost to the champion Copenhagen at home.

Meanwhile Midtjylland will also think about their European campaign as well. They reached the 3rd qualifying round of Europa League, but lost the first game against the Polish Arka Gdynia with 2-3.

Now we have to see if Midtjylland are going to rest some of their key players for the rematch with Arka against Randers. It won’t be surprising to see this happening. It’s still the beginning of the Superliga, so Midtjylland could take a risk and give all in the rematch with Arka. Which will eventually give Randers some better chance to take something from this visit to Midtjylland.

But even with resting some of the key players, Midtjylland remains a heavy favourite against Randers. Especially at home ground. They have a good enough bench to make some adjustments to the squad, that’s for sure.
