Soccer News – Real Madrid-Levante

After two consecutive draws in La Liga, Real Madrid hosts Levante with only one thing in mind – winning. Los Blancos do not have any other option, when they are 5th in the standings and four points behind the current leader Atletico Madrid.

After a very difficult last season, Real Madrid didn’t start the new one in the best way possible as well. Actually, Zinedine Zidane’s boys won against Celta in the first round, but in the next two games Los Blancos made draws against Real Valladolid and Villarreal.

The big news for Real Madrid is the fact that the summer signing Eden Hazard can now make his official debut for the club. The Belgian star was signed from Chelsea, but because of an injury he missed the first three rounds in La Liga. Now he’s recovered from his injury, so Zidane can use him if he wants to.

Meanwhile the Croatian midfielder Luca Modric is going to miss the game. The Ballon d’Or winner is injured, so he’s not avaliable. The same could be said about Gareth Bale who was sent off after his brace against Villarreal two weeks ago.

Just few days later Real Madrid will travel to Paris to face PSG in the Champions League. It’d be a big mistake for Madrid if they underrestimate Levante and think more of the CL game.

In the same time Levante are one position above Real Madrid in the standings, being 4th with 6 points won so far. Paco Lopez’ team lost its first game for the season against Deportivo Alaves, but in the next two rounds Levante recorded wins against Villarreal and Real Valladolid.

For this game at the Bernabeu Paco Lopez can’t use the defender Rober who is still recovering from his last injury.

That’s what we can say about the La Liga fixture between Real Madrid and Levante at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
